Cruz de Malta, the operational arm of the Order of Malta in Brasília, provided sufficient funds. The resources guarantee care until mid-year. We hope to arrange a more lasting solution by then. We want to continue the beautiful work of the shelter team.
Casa Bom Samaritano houses migrants, mainly Venezuelans. They will relocate through job opportunities in the Federal District. The director of the Institute for Migration and Human Rights explains that the house serves as temporary housing. It serves family units and individuals in a rotating reception system. Families remain in the house for up to three months. During this time, they find job opportunities for relocation.
