The Ambassador of the Sovereign Order of Malta in Brazil Franz G. von Schönborn attended the event held by the U.S. Embassy in Brasília to celebrate the 4th of July, marking the independence of the United States.

The event also commemorated 200 years of diplomatic relations between Brazil and the U.S., featuring moving performances of the national anthems of both countries, as well as excellent speeches by Ambassador Maria Luisa Escorel de Moraes (Secretary for Europe and North America) and Elizabeth Frawley Bagley (U.S. Ambassador).

In addition to the ambassadors, the event was attended by Kimberly Kelly (U.S. Minister-Counselor), Admiral Antônio Barra Torres (CEO of ANVISA), Peter Claes (Ambassador of Belgium) and Lieutenant Brigadier Marcelo Kanitz Damasceno (Commander of the Brazilian Air Force).

Celebrating this long and prosperous diplomatic relationship is a source of great joy. May the 4th of July inspire us to strengthen the bonds of friendship and cooperation between all countries, promoting unity and mutual understanding.
